Всего три недели назад в Корове открылся бильярдный клуб “Империя”, и вот уже первый чемпионат - областной юношеский, по свободной пирамиде. В Коврове поддерживают юношеский спорт и двадцать молодых участников играют сегодня абсолютно бесплатно. Печально, что такая ситуация сложилась не во всех районах области.

Самому младшему участнику - всего 11 лет. Но он уже достойный соперник даже взрослым игрокам. На последнем чемпионате области Адик Селиванцев в одной из партий обыграл Михаила Ключникова, первого чемпиона области по свободной пирамиде.
АДОЛЬФ СЕЛИВАНЦЕВ (г. ПОКРОВ): “Я занимался разными видами спорта, потом нашёл свой спорт, и стал ходить. Мне нравится”.
Параллельно с юношами, шестнадцать сильнейших спортсменов области сражаются за право поездки на Всероссийский турнир в Самару. Антон Гарин из Гусь-Хрустального занимает первое место в рейтинге. В классическую пирамиду он играет впервые, возможно, поэтому удача была на стороне соперника.
